POTATO GNOCCHI


Italian Potato Gnocchi makes a great meal, side dish or snack. There are so many ways to garnish this as well. You can simply serve with tomato sauce or you can add spinach to the mix. You may also fry it gently with butter and sage. You can add truffle oil or any spices or items to your desire. Experiment and have fun!

It is extremely easy to make. What we do is use our ALPImix for Potato Gnocchi put it in the mixer and add 130 percent water to the mix. You mix it together for a few minutes until you get a smooth textured mix. Then you roll the dough into a round cylinder shape about .8 inches thick and cut into small pieces. As you are making the shape in the forming process, it is important to always use rice flour. You can shape them accordingly as well. Add a twist or put special markings on them to dress them up as well.

When they are cut and ready to cook you boil water and add gnocchi. Cook for approximately 1-2 min. tops. As soon as they rise to top they are done. Remove immediately. Then serve as you desire.

This can also be frozen as well. Keep in mind if you freeze the gnocchi to add rice flour to the gnocchi to keep them from sticking together. Check our catalog out for the natural ingredients in our mix and for additional information. http://www.ipfimports.com/

Uses of Fruit Pearls


If you are wondering what fruit pearls are, well they are made from pure fruit pulp and fruit juice (not concentrated) and does not contain any artificial coloring. (Except for dark cherry and prunes which add caramel flavor). They carmalize when cooked and do not spill out of pastries.

 Below are some possible uses for our ALPIready Fruit Pearls. If you can think of other uses please let us know!

-          BROWNIE (especially with pineapple, pear, berry and orange pearls)
-          MUFFIN
-          COOKIES
-          PANCAKE
-          PLUMCAKE
-          CUPCAKE (in the dough)
-          SPONGE CAKE (in the dough)
-          SWEET BREADS / BRAIDS / BRIOCHE BREAD
-          SWEET SANDWICH LOAF (MILK OR SIMILAR)
-          NON-FOLDED CROISSANTS / BRIOCHES
-          SOFT CAKES (CHOCOLATE / YOGURT / MARGHERITA / ETC.)
-          PANFRUTTO (FRUIT BREAD – SOFT CAKE IN LOAF PANS WITH FRUIT INSIDE)
-          PANETTONE
-          SICILIAN CANNOLI CREAM (instead of candid fruits and/or chocolate chips)

Useless to say, except for the Sicilian cannoli cream, fruit pearls need at least a quick baking.

Useless as well, we have a variety of mixes for all the above pastries and sweets (except for brownie).

Welcome to our blog. A little about us. We import bakery and confectionery products from Italy. We are a fairly new company and import from Italy all natural bread mixes, pastry mixes, fillings, creams, canolis, jams and pearls just to name a few things.

Our company represents first and foremost quality. We only want the best because that is what everyone expects, right? Thinking about it you want the best product, reasonably priced, that is natural and no artificial ingredients and as the title says...delightful to taste. That is what we stand for and don't expect anything less.

We would like to hear what you want. If you were to have items brought in from Italy what would be your top choices? What is most important to you. We want to bring to you what you want and deserve so would appreciate feedback because we aim to please.
